Rover, the dog-loving community website based out of Seattle, Washington, released their Top 8 Most Dog Friendly Cities in America Right Now list and Denver came up on top! The 7 other most dog-friendly cities are: Nashville, Houston, Dallas, Las Vegas, Atlanta, San Diego and New York City.

In honor of this great recognition listed we have a special Denver Dog-Friendly guide that includes restaurants, bars, coffee shops and hotels, so you know where you can take man’s best friend with you!

Angelo’s Taverna, located at 620 E 6th Ave, is a pizza restaurant and oyster bar in Denver. Dogs are allowed on the front patio and will be given attention by the servers.

Kaos Pizzeria

Kaos Pizzeria, located at 1439 S Pearl St, is a small and hopping pizza parlor in a cottage with garden patio, serving gourmet pies, craft beer & wine. Outdoor patio welcomes dogs.


P17, located at 1600 E 17th Ave, is an award-winning Bistro located in the heart of Uptown in Denver. Patio seating is dog friendly.


Racine’s, located at 650 Sherman St, has been serving Denver breakfast, lunch and dinner since 1983. Dogs are welcome at the umbrella tables.

Randolph’s Restaurant & Bar

Randolph’s Restaurant & Bar, located at 1776 Grant St (within Warwick Denver Hotel), is a romantic destination with outdoor seating creating refined American plates for lunch & dinner. During the summer they host “Pawtio Happy Hour” where dogs are allowed on the patio between 4pm – 7pm.

Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery

Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, located at 1001 16th St #100, specializes in brewing crafted beer and American food. Their Covered patio tables are dog friendly.

Vesta Dipping Grill

Vesta Dipping Grill, located at 1822 Blake St, in LoDo specializes in world grill cuisine and dipping sauces. Dogs welcome on the patio in summer.

Black Shirt Brewing Co.

Black Shirt Brewing Co., located at 3719 Walnut St, is a progressive, artisanal, music-driven brewery located in the RiNo Art District. The brewery was founded by brothers Chad & Branden Miller & Chad’s wife Carissa. Their focus is on creating unique, vibrant, nuanced, and ultimately perfectly-balanced beer. They do everything by hand, in small batches. Dogs are welcome inside, on the front patio, and in the back beer garden.

Chain Reaction Brewing Company

Chain Reaction Brewing Company, located at 902 S Lipan St, is a microbrewery in the South Denver Metro area all about making great beer and having good times. 16 different brews on tap and ready. Dogs are welcome on patio.

Denver Beer Co.

Denver Beer Co., located at 1695 Platte St , serves only premium artisan ales and lagers, they utilize fresh ingredients and embrace both innovative and old world styles of beer. Similar to a farmer’s table, their beer selections change with the seasons. By brewing in small batches, they can ensure that a few old favorites are always on tap, but new goodies greet visitors each month. Dogs are allowed in the beer-garden and allowed on leash in the building and can even sample a “Dog Beerscuit” made from the spent grain from the brewing process.

Jake’s Sports & Spirits

Jake’s Sports & Spirits, located at 3800 Walnut St, is a local pub for pints, American grub & sports-watching plus live acts on stage & dog-friendly patio.

Joyride Brewing Company

Joyride Brewing Company, located at 2501 Sheridan Blvd,  is a small craft brewery in Edgewater across the street from the banks of Sloan’s Lake. They have a 10 barrel brewhouse with eight serving tanks and 6 fermenters. Their taproom is around 1600 sqft and can hold about 95 people. Enjoy the majestic views of the lake from their six rollup glass garage doors. Dogs are welcome!

LowDown Brewery + Kitchen

LowDown Brewery + Kitchen, located at 800 Lincoln St, is a local neighborhood brew-pub that serves food and beer in a casual, laid-back atmosphere. Spacious outdoor patio welcomes dogs.

Watering Bowl

Watering Bowl, located at 5411 Leetsdale Dr, is a part dog park and part tavern. They serve green chili, pizza, craft beer and cider cocktails. The large, 7000+ sqft outdoor “dog park” seating area is fully fenced.

Europa Coffee House, located at 76 S Pennsylvania St, serves up tasty java in a relaxed atmosphere and has seating outside that’s dog-friendly.

Highlands Cork & Coffee

Highlands Cork & Coffee, located at 3701 West 32nd Ave, is an all-day cafe with quaint parlor rooms and a spacious dog-friendly patio. Water bowls and treats will be provided. The garden patio also hosts art receptions & live music.

Pablo’s Coffee

Pablo’s Coffee, located at 630 E 6th Ave, is a Cafe where art lines the walls & beans from around the world are roasted locally in small batches. Dogs are welcome on the patio and are served fresh water.

Stella’s Coffee House

Hotel Monaco

Hotel Monaco, located at 1717 Champa St, is a hip hotel that is an 8-minute walk from Larimer Square and a 10-minute walk from Denver Union Station. Colorful, plush rooms have Italian bed linens, bathrobes, designer bath amenities, honor bars and 32-inch flat-screen TVs. Suites add larger TVs and separate living rooms, and spa suites offer whirlpool tubs. WiFi is free for loyalty program members. Guests may request a loaner goldfish to keep in-room, and room service is available. They also welcome up to two pets of any size for no additional fee.

The Brown Palace Hotel

The Brown Palace Hotel, located at 321 17th St, is a luxury hotel dating to 1892  and is 5 blocks from the Colorado Convention Center and less than 1 mile from Coors Field. The classically decorated rooms come with flat-screen TVs and pod coffeemakers plus WiFi access and iPod docks. Suites include separate living rooms, and some add dining rooms, studies or additional bathrooms. The hotel is home to 3 restaurants, a bar and a cafe. Afternoon tea in the lobby is a Denver tradition. They welcome one dog under 60 lbs for a refundable deposit of $100.

Hotel Teatro

Hotel Teatro, located at 1100 14th St, is housed in a 1911 building with original architectural details, this hotel is 0.3 miles from the Colorado Convention Center and the Theatre District light rail station. Modern luxe rooms all come with marble baths, flat-screen TVs and free WiFi. Superior rooms add rainfall showerheads and work areas. Suites feature soaking tubs and separate living rooms. The hotel offers a free courtesy car within a 3-mile radius, valet parking and airport transfers (surcharges for both). The Westin Denver Downtown

The Westin Denver Downtown, located at 672 Lawrence St, is housed in in the Tabor Center, this modern hotel is an 11-minute walk from the Colorado Convention Center and a 12-minute walk from the Denver Center For The Performing Arts. Understated rooms feature 37-inch flat-screen TVs, WiFi (surcharge) and coffeemakers. Upgraded rooms (some with mountain views) add iPod docks. Suites include living areas. In-room massage treatments are available for a fee. Amenities include 2 restaurants, a lounge/bar, heated indoor and outdoor pools, and a fitness center with a half basketball court. There’s also a 24-hour business center and 32,000 sq ft of meeting space. The hotel welcomes up to two dogs under 40 lbs for no additional fee.

Four Seasons Hotel Denver

Four Seasons Hotel Denver, located at 1111 14th St, is an upscale hotel in a landmark high-rise is a 10-minute walk from both The Colorado Convention Center and less than a mile from the Denver Art Museum. The elegant, understated rooms come with free Wi-Fi, iPod docks, flat-screen TVs and mini-fridges. They also include marble bathrooms with soaking tubs, some with panoramic windows. Posh, high-floor suites add sitting areas, and may have separate bedrooms and dining areas. The hotel has a refined spa with relaxation and beauty treatments, an outdoor heated pool, a hot tub and a fitness center. There’s also a steakhouse and a trendy bar, a 24-hour business center, and conference facilities. The hotel welcomes one pet under 25 lbs for no additional fee. Additional pets or larger pets may be permitted with prior approval from the management.

The Curtis Hotel

The Curtis Hotel, located at 1405 Curtis St, is across from the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, this modern hotel is a 13-minute walk from the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. Stylish rooms with pop-culture themes offer free WiFi, flat-screen TVs, iPod docks and coffeemakers. Some rooms have mini-fridges. Suites add living spaces with pull-out sofas and bar areas.
The restaurant serves global comfort food and features a martini bar. Other amenities include a fitness center, an on-site Starbucks coffee shop, and a gift shop that sells retro treats and games. There are also 15 meeting rooms and a business center. The Curtis Denver welcomes one pet of any size for an additional fee of $25 per night, up to a maximum fee of $50 per stay.

    The Curtis Hotel (1405 Curtis Street) is also a great place for a stay-cation with your pooch.

    Umm Denver has BSL, so a big number of dogs can’t even go there.

      Hi Laura, we understand and are frustrated by this as well. However, dog-friendly was chosen in terms of local businesses, parks and trails.
