Psst… 2015 Concerts You Shouldn’t Miss

So up until now I have let you all know about events that were coming to Denver literally a few days from my post.
This helps when you are looking for last minute ideas on how and where to spend your evenings or weekends when you are having a spontaneous a-ha moment.
However, as much as I like to go to places on the fly, I too am aware that some events simply require future planning otherwise specific events are either sold out or you would need to fork out enough cash to buy black market tickets (which at times seem like their cost is equal to a vacation at a different country!)
Therefore, this post is dedicated to 2015 concerts you shouldn’t miss that are coming to Denver! My favorites are number 1 & 10.

1. Pitbull & Enrique Iglesias

Unless you haven’t turned on the radio for the past 5 years (minimum). I have no doubt you know who these two singers are and if you are looking for a concert that will get you off your chair and dancing the night away, then look no further than this one.Pitbull & Enrique Iglesias

Personally, I have loved Enrique’s music even while he was still known as a romantic crooner that belt out hits such as “Hero”, “Escape” & “Bailamos” but since he joined forces with Pitbull, his music has taken a tone that is even more uptempo and dance worthy.

Pitbull, is now probably, the number 1 collaborator in the music industry, and I bet you could name at least 5 other well known musicians you heard him sing with just off the top of your head.

They will be performing at the 1st Bank Center on Tuesday, February 17th 2015 @ 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased here.

2. Stevie Wonder

Stevie Wonder

The legendary Stevie Wonder is performing in Denver
on Tuesday, March 17th 2015 at the Pepsi Center at 8:00pm.

I absolutely love his voice and personally, my favorite song of his is “You are The Sunshine of my life” and I sing it to my children all the time.

I’m sure this performance is going to be worth going to so get your tickets here!

3. Iggy Azalea

If you have yet to hear Iggy Azalea rap then you are in for a real treat. Azalea is an Australian singer that moved to the United States at the age of 16 pursuing a career in music and in a short time since then, she has already topped the charts with songs such as: “Fancy”, “Black Widow” & “Beg for it”.

She is performing in Denver on Monday, April 27th 2015 at the “Pepsi Center” at 7:30pm, tickets can be purchased here.

Iggy, we are going to “la la la love you till it hurts”.

4. Bette Midler

Bette Midler

Bette Midler, (also known by her stage name The Divine Miss M), will be performing in Denver on May 20th 2015 at the “Pepsi Center” at 8:00pm.

She is also giving away a free copy of her album “It’s The Girls!” with the purchase of tickets to her concert online.

You can purchase tickets directly from her website in order to be eligible for this giveaway.

5. Neil Diamond

I was first exposed to Neil Diamond’s music in the early 2000’s while living in London, UK.  It was then when I realized his success is worldwide.

I must admit I have never heard of him during my early years and I was pretty surprised to realize that not only is he known around the world, but he also has a very strong and loyal fan base that follows him.

If you are one of those fans, or simply like his music, then he will be performing in Denver on Sunday, May 31st 2015 also at the “Pepsi Center” at 8:00pm tickets can be purchased here.

6. Nickelback

A few years ago, I read the novel “Slammed” by Colleen Hoover, where the main character expresses (more than once) her distain for Nickelback’s music. I then started following Colleen on social media (her novels are amazing, emotional and wonderful reads by the way!) and found out that a lot of people expressed their shared distain for Nickelback’s music.

Personally, I don’t know if it is considered “in” to not like Nickelback, but I like their music and I think Chad Kroeger‘s raspy voice is very ear-friendly.

If you like Nickelback as well, then they are performing in Denver on July 7th 2015 at my most favorite music venue Red Rocks Amphitheater” ( I will one day write a whole post dedicated simply to my love for Red Rocks) at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased at TicketMaster.

8. Kenny Chesney & Jason Aldean

Ok Ok Ok, I know this is event is a big deal, scratch that HUGE deal for country music lovers. Since I have been living abroad for half of my life. I haven’t been exposed too much to this genre and I realized since returning to the US that country music is a BIG DEAL.

I actually heard about this event the day it was announced just by the 10+ statuses my friends put on social media.

They were all exclaiming how excited they were and how this announcement just made their day/week/month/year, so I’m pretty sure I’m not telling you anything you haven’t known already when I’m including this concert!

SO here we go: Kenny Chesney & Jason Aldean (insert squeal) are performing in Denver on Saturday, August 8th 2015 at 5:00pm at The Sports Authority Field at Mile High” (i.e The Denver Broncos stadium). Tickets can be purchased here but I have a strong feeling that they are 99% sold out already so you might have to simply call all your friends and beg those that managed to buy some, to sell you a ticket.

9. Idina Menzel

Idina Menzel

If you have children, love Disney movies or have been living on earth for the past year then you probably have heard Idina Menzel’s voice (and lots of other little girl and boy voices imitating her).

Menzel, shot to fame as the voice of princess “Elsa” from the worldwide, box office animated blockbuster “Frozen”. Her character’s main song that Idina is recognized by is none other but the fabulous song “Let it Go”.

She will be performing on Tuesday, August 11th 2015 at 6:30pm at “Red Rocks Amphitheater”.

This performance will be a great opportunity for you all to get to know more of her music, tickets can be purchased here.

Hopefully she won’t sing “Let it Go” over and over for over an hour.

10. Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift

Yes, Yes, Yes!!! You read that artist’s name correctly. Breathe, I know you are excited. Taylor Swift is coming to Denver for two shows (!) Saturday, September 5th 2015 & Sunday, September 6th 2015.

Both are at the “Pepsi Center” and begin at 7:30pm.

Swift is the number one selling artist in the US today and manages to resonate with a wide audience. My kids love her, I love her and literally nearly everyone I know loves her.

Since releasing her new album “1989” in 2014, she sold more copies of it in it’s opening weekend than any album in the past 12 years and she is the first and only artist to have 3 albums sell more than one million copies in a week!

This concert is also sold out but it’s early enough in the year (I hope!) to score some tickets.

Also if any of you want to sell me tickets please contact me!

” I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22.”

11. Billy Joel

I hope you are reading this post as soon as it’s published because tickets to this concert are actually only going on sale on Monday Feb. 2nd so make sure you get those tickets here.

Billy Joel will be performing in Denver on Wednesday, September 16th 2015 at 8:00pm at the “Pepsi Center”.

Joel’s song “Just The Way You Are” is so lovely and I bet experiencing his music and piano playing is absolutely divine.

So make sure you get those tickets!
