Psst… 10 more concerts you shouldn’t miss (part 2)

So last week I blogged about 11 concerts you shouldn’t miss and on the one hand I had people expressing their excitement over a specific artist they love that is on the list, and on the other hand I received dozens of emails from people expressing shock/anger/disbelief that I didn’t mention other artists that are performing in Denver this year.

I love that I get such great feedback, you all make this blog better by sharing your opinions and your Denver secrets so keep em’ coming!

This list will be numbered based on the number of times the artist was mentioned to me rather than by the date of the performance.

On that note, I present to you, 10 more concerts you shouldn’t miss (part 2).

1. Lana Del Rey

Lana Del RayWhen I first heard Lana Del Rey’s music, her voice nearly brought me to tears. She is melancholic in the best possible way and her music is so incredibly unique that you instantly would recognize it after listening to only one track for the first time.

She is (in my opinion) the next best thing since Amy Winehouse and I am incredibly disappointed in myself that I let her concert slip.

So get your tissues out and bring an extra jacket (in this case for the goosebumps rather than the weather). Lana Del Rey is performing in Denver on Tuesday, May 12th 2015 at 7:30pm at Red Rocks Amphitheater. Tickets can be purchased here.

2. The Foo Fighters

The Foo FightersThe Foo Fighters are, possibly, one of the most loved current rock bands in the music industry. Their music is played worldwide and their records have sold over 11 million copies AND if you didn’t already know, the band’s drummer is Dave Grohl, former Nirvana drummer.

They are performing two shows in Denver. One on Sunday, August 16th 2015 and one on Monday, August 17th 2015. Both shows begin at 7:00pm and are at Fiddlers Green Amphitheater. Tickets can be purchased here.

3. Luke Bryan

Luke BryanTo be completely honest, I have no idea who Luke Bryan is. I googled him for the first time after this concert was mentioned to me. From what I gather, he’s very loved and well known in the Country music genre. I thought I was going to make my Country fans happy when I mentioned Jason Aldean & Kenny Chesney but I recognize that missing this concert made me lose some points. So please accept my apologizes Country fans.

Luke Bryan is performing in Denver on Saturday, June 6th 2015 at 6:00pm at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

TICKETS GO ON SALE FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13TH 2015 AT 10:00AM! You can purchase them here.

4. Jason Mraz

Jason MrazIf I could sum up Jason Mraz’s music in one word it would be loveHis music was made to be shared with someone you love so whether you go to this concert with a romantic love, a family love or a friend love, make sure it’s with someone you love.

5. Lifehouse

LifehouseYou probably know so many songs by this band, it’s most famous single is “Hanging by a Moment.”  Personally, my favorite song of theirs is “You & Me”.  I have actually already let you know about this concert when I mentioned Nickelback’s concert. It turns out that Lifehouse is actually performing at the same event as Nickelback! Double score!

They both are performing on Tuesday, July 3rd 2015 at 7:30pm at Red Rocks Amphitheater. Tickets can be purchased here.

5.  Train & The Fray

The FrayThe Fray are actually from Denver, Colorado (which is why I must mention them first!) They are one of ours and we are extremely proud that they represent Denver in such a fantastic way everywhere they perform. This time they are coming home!

I attended their concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater a few years back, and the energy of them performing in front of their own city, friends and family made for one of the best concerts I have attended.

They are performing with Train whom are equally as exciting on stage!

Train

The show is on Saturday, July 18th 2015 at 7:00pm at Fiddlers Green Amphitheater.  Tickets can be purchased here.

6. Imagine Dragons

Imagine DragonsThis band is so hot right now that their music was even played by my daughters’ extremely cool Kindergarten teacher in class.

Their lyrics are unique, their music is catchy and most of all its really good!

They will be performing on Monday, July 27th 2015 at 7:30pm at the Pepsi Center.

TICKETS GO ON SALE TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 17TH AT 10:00M!  You can purchase them here.

7. Fall Out Boy

Fall Out BoyFall Out Boy are played literally on every radio station I put on at the moment. Their single “Centuries” has been etched in our collective psyche since it was played so often during the College football season.

8. Dave Matthews Band

Dave Matthews BandDave Matthews Band have been around since the early 90’s. I remember signing their song “Crash into me” on my Discman while I was still in highschool. (If you don’t know what a Discman is please don’t ask. It will just make me feel old.)

9. The Avett Brothers

The Avett BrothersNot one. Not two. But three opportunities to catch The Avett Brothers live on stage. Their music is a mixture of bluegrass, country, indie rock and pop. That might sound like a weird mix but wait till you hear them.

My favorite song is hands down “I and Love and You”. Absolutely beautiful.

They are performing their three(!) consecutive shows in Denver on Friday, July 10th 2015, Saturday, July 11th 2015 and Sunday, July 12th 2015. The Friday & Saturday shows begin at 7:30pm and the Sunday shows begins at 5:30pm. They all will be at Red Rocks Amphitheater.  Tickets can be purchased here.

10. Infected Mushroom

Infected MushroomLast but definitely not least is the Trance music band from my home country of Israel!!! Denver will be considered “ours” but Israel will be “mine”. I don’t know what I want to write about more, my country or the excellent band that originated from it.

Since this is a blog for all my Denver people I will concentrate on the band.

Infected Mushroom’s music is truly a work of art in my opinion and I am so proud to learn that they are coming to my current home town of Denver.

They will performing on Saturday, April 11th 2015 at 9:00pm at the Ogden Theatre.

FYI – YOU MUST BE 16 YEARS OLD & OVER TO ATTEND. You can purchase tickets here.
