From Thirteenth Floor, the makers of 13th Floor Haunted House & The Asylum Haunted House, comes a new horror that you don’t want to miss. Slasher Fest is a special, Friday The 13th-themed horror event that includes horrifying Friday The 13th-related characters and sets. Come be a part of something different this Friday The 13th Weekend. If Slasher Fest just opens your appetite for more horror, then stop by Thirteenth Floor’s other heart racing production: Great Room Escape. The Great Room Escape is a fully interactive and immersive experience. Participants will enter a room, the question is whether they will make it out in the hour. Clues and riddles hidden throughout the room provide the tools to meet your objective. Work as a team and you just might make it, either way it will be the fastest and most intense hour you have ever experienced. As the clock ticks down and the pressure mounts, can you stay calm, can you escape?!

Two rooms you can choose from, each room is different and has different stories behind it.

Zombie Room: Trapped with no way out, chain link by chain link a brain-crazed and bloodthirsty zombie invades the room. You and 11 others must solve the room before the time runs out and the zombie is unleashed. With only 60 minutes and your brains, you must uncover clues, decipher riddles, and discover the keys to unlock your freedom. (Maximum 12 participants)

The Cabin: You and your friends are being pursued by a serial killer. You take refuge in a dark cabin. However, you soon learn that this is a trap set by the killer. He will catch up to you in one hour, can you escape his trap before he arrives? (Maximum 10 Participants)

Honor the 30th anniversary of the dark and brilliant film, Blue Velvet, at Sie FilmCenter this Friday the 13th. Blue Velvet, David Lynch‘s mind-bending suspense thriller, will be screened daily, through May 18th, 2016. Blue Velvet tells the story of a young man who returns to his (seemingly) picture-perfect town and discovers a severed human ear in a field near his home. The police’s disinterest in the evidence, causes our lead man, to uncover some truths he might not have expected about the town he is from. Omnious, Denver’s monthly dance event at Tracks Nightclub, is dedicating this Friday to American Horror Story in honor of Friday the 13th. Dress up as any American Horror Story character from any season (Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show & Hotel) and you will be entered into a competition that will give out free tickets to shows by Aesthetic Perfection at their Goth Prom event and Filter and Orgy. *Costumes are optional DJ Ritual, DJ Slave1 & guest DJ Markie will play in the Tracks main room. Mr. & Mrs. Hoodbats, Julian Black & Junkyard will play in the lounge. The night will include performances by Ru Entertainment with community stages featuring vignette, dance and fetish performances as well as the Ominous Art Walk featuring local alternative artists. If you can’t go out this Friday the 13th, yet still want to celebrate belatedly, Rocky Horror Picture Show – Half Way to Halloween will take place at the Boulder Theater on Saturday, May 14th, 2016. Colorado’s Elusive Ingredient will be the shadowcast and has been Denver’s cast since 2000. The group performs on the last Friday of every month at Landmark’s Esquire Theater. They are also the current Rocky Horror Picture Show attendance world record holders, with over 8,500 people seeing them live at Red Rocks in August, 2013. CEI present a FULL RHPS production, with a pre-show, full costumes and tech pieces. CEI will be bringing between 20-30 cast members. Rocky Horror Picture Show tells the story of innocent Brad and Janet, who find themselves seeking shelter at a mysterious old castle on a dark and stormy night. There they encounter transvestite Dr. Frank N Furter, his “perfect” creation Rocky, and an assortment of other crazy creatures. Ages 21+. Doors open 7pm. New Film, The Darkness, is Released for Friday the 13th

Just in time for Friday the 13th, The Darkness, is released in movie theaters from selected theaters on Thursday, May 12th and general release on Friday, May 13th, 2016. The Darkness tell the story of a family who returns from a camping trip at the Grand Canyon, only to realize they brought home with them a malevolent supernatural force that feeds on fear  and that has possessed their youngest son. This tale of terror was directed by Wolf Creek’s Greg McLean. Kevin Bacon, Radha Mitchell, and Jennifer Morrison star in a Blumhouse Productions film.
