Bar Dough, located in the LoHi neighborhood, is helmed by Executive Chef & Partner, Max MacKissock. MacKissock brings an authentic Italian touch to Bar Dough’s menu, due to his years of study in Italy on technique and tradition.

Bar Dough’s menu features wood fired pizzas, all of which are made with house made dough.

Blue Pan Pizza, located in the West Highlands neighborhood, specializes in authentic Detroit-style pizza. Co-Founded by award-winning Chef Jeff “Smoke” Smokevitch, Blue Pan’s deep-pan pizzas are distinguishable by their rectangular shape and feature a caramelized crust.

Blue Pan Pizza also offers Chicago, New-York and Italian styled pizzas. All their pizzas are made from home-made and daily fresh dough.

Brava! Pizzeria Della Strada, located in Avanti Food & Beverage, offers wood-fired, Neapolitan inspired pizzas, that are created based on the guidance of a Denver-raised and Italian-trained chef.

They fire their wood oven with oak and due to its 800° temperature, your pizza is ready within two minutes!

Cart Driver, located in the RiNo neighborhood, is a small pizza joint operating in a 640 square foot shipping container space. Even though this isn’t your typical pizza restaurant, its wood fired pizzas are inspired by authentic Southern Italian cuisine.

Five Points Pizza is located in Temple Bakery which is part bakery (Long i Pie Shop) – part pizzeria. Five Points Pizza started as a side project of Eden Myles, who also owns the Black Sheep Bakers.

This relatively unknown pizzeria is a hands-down favorite by Denver locals, especially those who seek to eat pizza in the wee hours of the night.

Psst… All their pizzas are named “Mr.” followed by a color. Try the classic “Mr. Red” made with cheese and tomato sauce or the “Mr. Pink” with cheese, tomato sauce and salami.

They offer an Artisan Pizza of the Month selection, a Make Your Own Pizza, Wheat and Gluten Free Crust, and have a large selection of vegan and vegetarian toppings, as well as other vegan and vegetarian dishes.

They also offer a special Beer Club for an annual $60 fee, that will get you discounts on their pizzas and beers, and every Sunday they open an hour early for their members and give you the third draft beer you order for free!

This pizza place, locally owned and operated by award-winning Chef Patrick Mangold-White, is also widely known for its garden patio area, which is often filled with neighborhood locals and visitors.

    Very good list. Those all seem to be covered by most “best of” lists. I’d love to see “top 10 weirdly great bar pies” or something like that.
