A Taste of Colorado, taking place at Civic Center Park over Labor Day Weekend, will feature more than 50 of Colorado’s favorite restaurants and food establishments that will gather at the Festival, featuring small portions to full meals. Live music will be available on six different stages, arts, crafts, carnival rides, games, play equipment, a great variety of free, hands-on craft activities, plus plenty of music and a special South Platte Kids Zone.

The 30th annual Friendship Powwow and American Indian Cultural Celebration is one of the Denver Art Museum’s longest-running events. It is a celebration of the vitality of American Indian cultures. The celebration will feature American Indian dancers, drum groups, hands-on activities, booths hosted by artists and community groups, and more.

Psst… This year’s Friendship Powwow celebrates the life of Nancy Blomberg, who served as a curator at the DAM for 28 years, overseeing the American Indian, African and Oceanic art collections. A new song composed for the DAM, and in honor of Blomberg, by Andy Cozad (Kiowa) will debut during the Friendship Powwow in the afternoon.

The 6th Annual Denver Vintage Jazz Festival, produced by CMDance, is three days of world-class music held in the Mile-High City of Denver, Colorado and expecting a record crowd of over 600 dancers and listeners. This early-era throwback party appeal is unrivaled in Denver located in the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Our one-of-a-kind Vintage festival focuses primarily on vintage jazz and blues of the 1930’s & 1940’s.
