Winner of the 2015 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The King and I, is a musical, directed by Bartlett Sher.

Set in 1860’s Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna Leonowens, a British schoolteacher whom the modernist King, in an imperialistic world, brings to Siam to teach his many wives and children.

MLK Jr. Tribute: Sacrifice for Justice is a special live performance that comes during the 50th Anniversary year of Dr. King’s assassination. The evening will feature guest performances by Michael Chipman, Stephanie Hancock, and Rajdulari.

In addition, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Colorado Holiday Commission will honor six recipients of the 2018 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award.
