AMBLI boasts two locations and both have unique menus to delight the senses. AMBLI DTC is the place to go for a great Happy Hour (M-F 2:30-6:30) served in the Bar and Tapas Lounge. Savory delights like Tequila Jalapeño Mussels or Duck Goyza paired with a Classic Manhattan is a great way to begin a night out.  Then make your way over to AMBLI at HOLLY Dinner and enjoy the conversation themed menu with sections like “Light and Easy Chit-Chat” or “Meat of the Conversation”.

Bar AC at the AC Hotel Downtown Denver has Tapas Tuesday from 4-11:30pm with 50% off all tapas! Grab a few friends and shake off the “beginning of the week blues” with bites like Traditional Meatballs or Datiles con Tocino (bacon wrapped dates – so delicious!). If you love a great Gin and Tonic they have a few twists on the classic drink like a Spanish Gin and Tonic (Bulldog Gin, Draft Tonic, Juniper Berries, Rosemary, Citrus) or a Garden Gin Tonic (Hendrick’s, Mediterranean Tonic, Cucumber).

3# CAFE BRAZIL – THE RUM ROOM

If you were wondering “Where’s the rum gone?” then head on over to Cafe Brazil. This is the ultimate place in Denver to enjoy the flavors of South Spain and a ton of rum. Their Rum Room boasts over seventy-five different rums to savor and experience. The fine folks at Cafe Brazil know that it is hard to enjoy drinking on an empty stomach, so those in the Rum Room can enjoy complimentary tapas like Queso Iberico or Spanish Piquillos Peppers and have the option to order other delights off the menu.

4# ULTREIA

Ultreia serves the cousin of the tapa which are pintxos, similar small bites from the Basque region. The result is often a stack of deliciousness served on a toothpick. They serve Happy Hour from 3-6pm, Monday through Friday and it would be worth sneaking out of work a little earlier to try their delights like Pulpo a la Plancha or Chef Choice Pintxo Platter. Their Porron and Pintxos Night (all day Sunday and Monday) offers a bottle of the weekly selection of wine and a selection of Chef’s choices of cured meats, cheeses and bites for just 30.00.

I don’t know what is behind doors 1 through 8, but behind the The 9th Door Capitol Hill there is a great atmosphere and tapas. Their Happy Hour is every day from 4-6pm, so if you can’t try them on the weekdays than head over there on the weekend. They have the classic Bacon Wrapped Dates as well as Montaditos de Setas, Chorizo y Mahon (4 Toast Points with House Cured Wild Salmon, Whipped Goat Cheese, Pickled Cucumber, Fresno Chili) or Tortilla del Dia (Seasonal Spanish Omelette with Garlic Aioli). Pair that with the Featured Cocktail or a glass of wine and enjoy the weekend!
