Psst… Sarto’s Launches Brunch Menu

Sarto’s Social Italian Eatery & Pantry, in Jefferson Park, will launch a weekend brunch menu from this Saturday, August 1st 2015.

Each weekend following, brunch will be offered Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 2pm, featuring a menu that highlights Sarto’s focus on metropolitan cuisine as well as beer, wine and cocktails tailored for the occasion, to be enjoyed within the inviting restaurant space or al fresco.

“We’re thrilled that now our guests will not only be able enjoy dinner with us, but also take in a leisurely weekend brunch at the restaurant, or simply stop by for our more casual offerings at The Pantry,  which will also be open on Sundays going forward,” said Taylor Swallow, owner of Sarto’s. “Brunch isn’t common in Italy, but if it were, we would like to think this is what you would see.”

Differentiating Sarto’s brunch from any other such offering within the state, guests are invited to partake in Saber Saturdays and Sundays. When they order a bottle of traditional method sparkling wine, guests will have the opportunity to learn the art of sabrage – opening wine bottles with a saber. Swallow, a sabrage enthusiast, has passed along his experience to the staff who will gladly educate guests on how to safely and elegantly open their favorite bottle of bubbles.

Sarto's Brunch Menu

Highlights from the brunch menu, executed by head chef James Rugile and his team, include Ancient Grain Museli, comprised of almond milk and marinated steel-cut farro adorned with seasonal fruit, crushed macron almonds and drizzled with chestnut honey. Bruschetta, in which a grilled baguette is topped with creamy stracchino cheese, fresh avocado, heirloom tomatoes and arugula. The Pizette, a breakfast pizza with smoky crème fraiche, crispy prosciutto, mushrooms, sunny-side eggs and arugula; an Italian Benedict with capicola and poached eggs over grilled foccocia with a parmesan béchamel. A Cast Iron Marsala and Vanilla Bread Pudding topped with tangy lemon curd and more!

The espresso and coffee selection (my brunch item musts!), include highlights such as the cold cappuccino, while the cocktail list includes the classic Aperol Spritzer as well as the Dannato (Sarto’s interpretation of a Bloody Mary). A large selection of white wine is featured, including Kovacs Nimrod, a Hungarian wine that is only found in Denver at Sarto’s, as well as a curated selection of draft beer, including Peroni, Moretti, Easy Street and others.
