The Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern, a classic chef-driven American restaurant and tavern serving a scratch-made menu featuring fresh fish, hand-pattied burgers, sandwiches, pizza and a variety of entrees and appetizers, has announced the grand opening of its first Colorado location on June 30th, 2016 at the Orchard Town Center in Westminster.

The Rusty Bucket was founded in 2002 by Gary Callicoat and friend Cameron Mitchell, who owns and operates several specialty restaurants in the United States, including Ocean Prime at Larimer Square in downtown Denver. Callicoat wanted to create a local chef-driven restaurant and tavern that would serve as a community hub that feels as if it’s always been there, and is a place to meet up, grab a bite and a drink, and share news. The name “Rusty Bucket” was inspired by this vision.

“We’re tremendously excited to be opening our first Colorado location and to be bringing The Rusty Bucket’s vision of genuine hospitality to the people of Westminster,” said Founder Gary Callicoat. “We look forward to meeting our new guests, serving them great food and drinks, and being part of the community,” he added.

The Rusty Bucket offers a menu made from scratch daily, including the pizza dough, which is rolled to order. Menu highlights include Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos, Asian Tuna Wrap, Double-Stacked Quesadillas, Texas Chili, and homemade desserts like Sticky Bun Bread Pudding and Triple Chocolate Cake. Each location has a gluten-free friendly menu and is fully equipped to handle dietary restrictions.

On the tavern side, The Rusty Bucket believes truly great cocktails are a craft, and its full bar includes house-made infusions, including pineapple-infused vodka and rum, and jalapeno infused vodka for Bloody Marys. The restaurant also partners with Woodford Reserve to provide exclusive single barrel bourbon used to create specialty cocktails. The Rusty Bucket also has an ample beer selection, with 24 draft handles featuring 10-12 local breweries.

The newly renovated 4,500-square-foot space will have room for 208 guests between its main dining room, bar, covered patio and private dining room. The Orchard Town Center location will feature The Rusty Bucket’s signature exposed brick, brown and burgundy color scheme with comfortable open seating, non-intrusive televisions for people wanting to watch the big game, and plugs and USB ports for people wanting to stay connected while at the restaurant.

The Rusty Bucket is donating 20% of the grand opening proceeds to the Westminster Public Schools Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating partnerships and programs to increase learning opportunities for students of Adams County School District 50. The Rusty Bucket also participates in Round It Up America, a program that gives guests the option of rounding up to the nearest dollar, with proceeds going to local charities.
