“The Rock-A-Belly Festival is a true celebration of all things great about Denver. In addition to showcasing the wonderful food of our restaurants and fantastic beers from local breweries, Rock-A-Belly is also a fundraiser that celebrates the giving spirit of this community.” said Jeane Larkings, Volunteer Coordinator for Food For Thought Denver.

“After last year’s event, Food for Thought Denver was able to add new schools to our weekend meal program for Denver area kids. We’re looking forward to expanding the program again this year with the continued generous support of attendees.”

Each Friday, Food for Thought provides students of participating schools with “PowerSacks” filled with enough food to help feed a family of four for the weekend. Over 90% of the students enrolled qualify for free and reduced breakfast and lunch programs, but often come to school hungry on Monday mornings due to a lack of adequate nutritious food over the weekend.
