Nick’s Garden Center is an amazing garden center all year, but especially during their annual September green Chile fest!  Enjoy the music of Latin Sol performing from 12 noon – 4:00 pm, shop their local produce market and gift and garden supplies shop, get some beautiful fall flowers and plants, purchase delicious Mexican food at Nick’s Café, and spin the prize wheel for a chance to win your peppers for free or receive a discount on them. There’s a big selection of chilies to choose from (laid out in order of spiciness) then watch them be roasted. Sign-up for their events, coupons, their gardening newsletter, or ask a gardening expert.  Their gift certificates make a great gift for that special person too!

Ya Ya’s Farm is a popular place to visit.  They have over 1,000 fruit trees including peach, pear, plum, and cherry, plus blackberry, raspberry, grapes.

When you visit the farm stand and orchard, you may also visit the farm animals-Percheron Draft Horses, mini donkeys, chickens, ducks, and peacocks.  Bring a picnic if you wish. There’s a covered area of picnic tables or bring a blanket and eat under a peach tree.

Enjoy all things apple in the farm stand – apples, apple cider jams & jellies, apple pies and oh so much more! You just have to try the cider donuts too.  Made fresh up in the farm house everyday.
Plan on next year’s fall U-Pick cherries, apples, and peaches, as reservations start in the summer. They also have gourd painting and Boo Fest.

Best time to visit is weekday afternoons.
Note:  please leave pets at home out of respect their farm animals.
