Psst… 9 Things to do in Denver this April

Hello April!

Spring has officially sprung and there are so many places to go, sights to see, and things to do in the Mile High this April. To help you get the most out of your April, we came up with 9 things to do in Denver that are sure to kick your month off the right way.

EVENTS

1. COLLAB FEST

Kicking off our list is Collaboration Fest – a truly unique take on the craft beer experience. This event features some of your favorite Colorado’s brewers working together to create one-of-a-kind and exclusive beer collabs you’ll only find at Collab Fest. Taking place at the Filmore on April 2nd, this is one event you won’t want to miss.

Beer sure to grab your tickets before they’re all gone.

2. OPENING DAY

@Terminal Bar

Let’s play ball!

Opening Day for our Rockies is almost here, and we hope you’re as excited for the big day as we are. Whether you were lucky enough to score tickets to the big game or are looking to celebrate with a big day out around the city – this is one day you won’t want to miss.

Psst… be sure to keep an eye out for our list of ways to celebrate Opening Day in Denver.

3. MILE HIGH 4/20 FESTIVAL

Our list wouldn’t be complete without at least one 4/20 related celebration this April.

The Mile High 4/20 Festival takes place at Civic Center Park on (you guessed it) 4/20 and is sure to be an elevated way to spend the day. With an incredibly stacked lineup of free musical acts, activities, food trucks and all-around good vibes – we’ll see you there. Gates open at 2 PM so you’ll want to plan ahead and get there early to secure a good spot.

Psst… this event is recommended for those 18+ and you must be 21+ to drink.

SHOWS

4. TOOTSIE

@Denver Center for the Performing Arts

Kicking off our list of shows we can’t wait to check out this month is Tootsie.

For those that may not be familiar with this Tony-award wining musical – Tootsie tells the story of Michael Dorsey, a talented but difficult actor who struggles to find work until one show-stopping act lands him the role of a lifetime, with plenty of laughs along the way. Running March 29 – April 10 at the Buell Theater, be sure to grab your tickets while you still can.

5. DISNEY ON ICE

For those looking for some family fun this month, Disney on Ice is place for you.

Mickey and Friends are back in Denver and bringing the magic of Disney to the Mile High. Running April 7-10 at the Denver Coliseum you’ll have plenty of chances to catch Mickey, Moana, Toy Story, Frozen and friends, while they’re in town. Be sure to snag your tickets before they’re all gone!

6. 4/20 ON THE ROCKS

@Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater

You had us at “Rocks”.

For those looking to get (slightly) out of the city this April 20th – 4/20 on the Rocks is always a must this time of year. This lineup is packed (haha) with some of your favorites like PEPPER, Method Man & Redman, Busta Rhymes, Juicy J and more. Tickets are still available and can be found here

For those attending please remember to be safe, smart, and take care of each other.

EASTER FUN

7. PICTURES WITH THE EASTER BUNNY

Are you looking to make it an eggs-tra special Easter?

The Easter Bunny will be hopping around Park Meadows Mall through April 16 to help you get a jump start on your holiday cards this year.

Psst… For those looking to hop the line – you can reserve your spots here.

8. HOPPY EASTER 5K

Bunnies, beer, and running – we like the sound of that.

If you’re looking to keep it athletic this Easter, Zuni Street Brewing’s Hoppy Easter 5K is perfect! This fun run starts and ends at Zuni Street’s taproom in Denver and is welcome to runners, walkers, joggers, hoppers and everything in between. Did we mention you’ll celebrate your completion of the course with a FREE local craft brew at the finish line?

9. GUARD AND GRACE – EASTER BRUNCH

@Guard and Grace

 Last but certainly not least is Guard and Grace’s annual Easter Brunch.

Taking place on April 17, this is one brunch you won’t want to miss. This incredible brunch spread features an extensive selection of appetizers, salads, raw bar, brunch entrees, steaks and more. Reservations are sure to fill up quickly so you’ll want to reserve a spot before they fill up.
