Hello, January!

With the start of a new year comes plenty of new places to go, sights to see, and things to do in the Mile High. To help you get the most out of your January, we came up with 9 things to do in Denver that are sure to help kick those post-holiday blues.

1. NATIONAL WESTERN STOCK SHOW

@National Western Stock Show

Kicking off our list of events is an absolute must – National Western Stock Show. Running January 7-23, The Stock Show is a great way to experience this long-standing Denver tradition. From rodeos, bull riding, horse shows, livestock shows, Xtreme dogs, incredible food, plenty of local vendors and more; there’s sure to be something for everyone.

2. DENVER WINTER BREWFEST

Brew Fest is back and chiller than ever!

Taking place January 28thDenver Winter Brew Fest is a longtime favorite of The Denver Ear. With a lineup of 80+ beers/seltzers/ciders with unlimited samples, live music, food trucks and more; it’s yet another reason to look forward to January. Did we mention it’s for a great cause? Similar to prior years, this year goes to benefits Big Bones Canine Rescue, an amazing all breed non-profit dog rescue dedicated to helping dogs in need. 

3. LUNAR NEW YEAR

@Far East Center

Up next is The Far East Center’s 32nd annual Lunar New Year Festival.

This event is free and open to the public and will take place over two weekends, January 21-22 and the 28-29. This year’s event will feature an incredible lineup including: Lion Dance performances, street market fair, vendors, ice carving, and so much more.

Psst… keep an eye out for their list of food vendors that is sure to be out of this world.

4. ULLRGRASS BEER FESTIVAL

Move over winter, UllrGrass is coming.

This 3-day festival takes place in Golden, CO, the last weekend in January (27-29), is the perfect way to unleash your inner Viking. Complete with live music, beer festival, costume contest(s) and so much more. Be sure to grab your tickets ahead of time and enjoy the nordic vibes.

5. ICELANTIC’S WINTER MISSION

While Red Rocks may be closed for the winter season – Icelantic Skis is bringing their annual winter concert to Denver this January. Icelantic’s Winter Mission is taking Mission Ballroom by storm this January 28th and features some heavy hitters like: Alison Wonderland, Channel Tres, Sam Blacky and more! 6. SUKI WATERHOUSE

As part of her Blondshell tour Suki Waterhouse stops by The Bluebird Theater on January 18th. While we missed the last time was in town, we’re so excited to catch her this time around. Get your tickets here.

7. DJ PAULY D

Cabs are here!

The legend himself, DJ Pauly D, is throwing down at Temple Denver January 14th. Aside from living out our Jersey Shore dream, Pauly D puts on an incredible show and knows how to keep the party going. Tickets and table reservations can be found here.

8. SHEN YUN

@Shen Yun Performing Arts

Shen Yun makes it’s return to Denver and The Ellie Caulkins Opera House January 20-24. This incredible performance invites you to travel back to the magical world of ancient China, where you’ll experience the incredible art that is classical Chinese dance. Limited tickets are still available and are sure to sell out quickly!

9. FREE DAY – DENVER ART MUSEUM

Rounding out our list of things to do in Denver this January is Free Day(s) at the Denver Art Museum. You’ll enjoy free admission to the Denver Art Museum on January 10th and 28th all day long! Advance ticket reservations are highly encouraged as it’s sure to fill up quickly.
