Psst… Molly Brown House Museum Titanic Tours

The Molly Brown House Museum, the home of Titanic survivor Margaret Tobin Brown in Denver, is hosting a series of special Titanic Tours on Saturday, April 15th, 2017.

The Molly Brown House Museum Titanic Tours is an opportunity to learn about Margaret’s experience, how the different classes of passengers traveled, the stories of the immigrants coming to a new home, and Titanic’s effects on maritime law.

The Museum is one of just a few Titanic sites in the US and is available to visit via a guided admission.

Margaret “Molly” Brown was an American socialite, philanthropist, and activist who became famous because she survived the 1912 sinking of the RMS Titanic, after exhorting the crew of Lifeboat No. 6 to return to the capsize site to look for survivors. It is unclear whether any survivors were found after Lifeboat No. 6 returned to search. She became known after her death as “The Unsinkable Molly Brown”, although during her lifetime, her friends called her “Maggie”.

The Molly Brown House Museum stands as an enduring symbol of the Victorian era and the city of Denver. In the 1880s the lucky few who made millions in the mountains, the railroads, or trade moved to the prestigious Capitol Hill neighborhood. Margaret and J.J.’s house at 1340 Pennsylvania Avenue was built in 1889.

Tickets to the Molly Brown House Museum Titanic Tours range from $5 – $11 per person. Purchase tickets and yearly memberships online. Psst… Members receive discounted tickets!

The Molly Brown House Museum is located at 1340 Pennsylvania St, Denver 80203. For more information regarding the museum and the Titanic Tours visit: www.mollybrown.org.
