The Arvada Harvest Festival and Parade commemorate the hearty history of the once primarily farming community of Arvada, Colorado. It is the second longest continuously running festival in Colorado. The festival will include events such as the Harvest Run, Parade, a Garden Harvest Contest, a Food Fair, live music and more.

DENVER ZOO’S TEDDY BEAR CLINIC

Bring your stuffed animals and their kid caretakers to the Denver Zoo‘s 4th annual Teddy Bear Clinic, presented in partnership with Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Families can walk around the Zoo to different stations where volunteers and staff will provide “medical” procedures for stuffed animals while educating young guests about healthy habits. Guests will also learn about the excellent care zookeepers and veterinarians provide the animals here at the Zoo and get to meet Elbert, the Zoo and Children’s Hospital Colorado’s mascot, at the Zoo’s Explore the Shore Play Area.

The Annual Friendship Powwow and American Indian Cultural Celebration is one of the Denver Art Museum’s longest-running events. It is a celebration of the vitality of American Indian cultures.

Throughout the day, watch colorful dance competitions, participate with local artists in hands-on activities, and enjoy a piece of fry bread. Also, don’t miss the American Indian art collection on levels two and three of the North Building.
