City of Golden and the Golden Chamber of Commerce are hosting the Golden Fine Arts Festival this weekend. One of the region’s most prestigious juried art shows, this festival is held in a gorgeous setting adjacent to Clear Creek in historic downtown Golden. The Golden Fine Arts Festival features ceramic arts, fiber arts, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture and 2D.

The festival includes food, live music, MillerCoors domestic and craft beers, and a wine booth. The Kids Art Area offers free arts and crafts activities for children, along with face painting, and more.

The Orchard Town Center is hosting a unique and one-of-a-kind event this Saturday: Bubble Maniacs‘ Bubble Bash. Kids of all ages will have access to a dozen different bubble stations where they’ll learn about the science behind bubbles, make their own creations, explore chemistry, and even place themselves in a giant bubble.

Roving bubblers and stage shows feature gigantic bubbles, and everyone will be able to participate in bubble-themed games and contests. Families can also visit the Bubble Shop to take home a souvenir form the largest collection of bubble toys, tools and educational materials on the planet. Plus, 25% of shop sales will benefit a local non-profit organization.
