The building has eleven themed rooms and two female only rooms. The Hostel Fish’s cozy bar that serves flaming absinthe among other classic drinks and is hip and friendly. Right below the hostel there is the Ophelia’s with live music and great food, or right around the corners you can find Voodoo Comedy Warehouse and Jagged Mountain Craft Brewery.

5# STOUT HOUSE HOSTEL

Stout House Hostel was built in 1893 and has gone through many families and few renovations to become the hostel it is today. This marijuana friendly hostel comes with amenities like pool tables, fireplaces, a professional dj setup and bicycles for guests to ride around the city. If pedaling doesn’t sound like your idea of a vacation the light rail is one block from the house and there is a bus stop across the street, so cheap transportation is easy to find. Just two blocks away is the Mercury Cafe which has great food music, poetry, and dancing almost every night. Or make your way to the British Bulldog, a great English pub in the heart of Denver.
