Eat + Drink Places

Psst… Dog Haus now in Centennial!

LA based concept “Dog Haus” originated in Pasadena, California back in 2010. Three partners  (Hagop Giragossian, Quasim Riaz and André Vener) got together and decided they wanted to do something fun and whimsical with food people like-

HOT DOGS!

They started with one single restaurant and grew it to 3 (all in Pasadena). Colorodoan, Jason Bell is very close friends with the three partners. One day he came to eat at one of their restaurants in California, enjoyed the food so much, and half-joked that if they ever wanted to bring it to Colorado, that he wants to be part of it. They recently got their franchise license and guess what?! Bell, stood by his word and brought the first ever DOG HAUS to us. (Thanks!)

Dog Haus is known for its high degree of culinary and having fun as well. Offering signature 100% all-beef skinless Haus Dogs, Haus Sausages and 100% natural Black Angus beef burgers on grilled King’s Hawaiian Rolls.

They have 7 sausages- all are made propriety by Adam Gertler (you can only find these there). They also have 9 variations of house burgers and you can get it them specific to your taste (you don’t have to go by the menu).

Last week, I went to try these famous hot dogs for myself and I have to personally recommend the food -it’s DELICIOUS!

I  also sat down with Bell and asked him what his personal favorite was. He specifically singled out  Another Night In Bankok its a spicy thai red currywurst, peanut sauce with asian slaw and crushed peanuts. I tried the SOOO Cali -made with wild arugula, spicy basil aioli, crispy onions, avocado and tomato, thePig & The Fig – emmentaler stuffed sausage, fig & onion relish, wild arugula, whole grain mustard and sliced almonds and the ‘The Freiburger®’ -white american cheese, fried egg, haus slaw, fries and mayo. I loved all three but if I had to choose then my favorite was the ‘SOOO Cali‘ – I LOVE wild arugula!

They also have 3 Veggie items including: vegan dog, Italian veggie sausage and smoked apple veggie sausage.

The best part?! They even has a liquor license (!!!) and their signature drink is a PBR in a brown paper bag.

Starting this Friday, June 12th 2015, they will also be serving a spiked milkshake and they run Happy Hour between 3p -6pm every day $2 for PBR , $3.50 for all drafts  and $1 sliders!

This place is a MUST. You will never want to eat a hot dog anywhere else!
