Last week we announced the launch of our new back-to-school mini-series that features all things Back-to-School related in Denver. We kicked off the series with a guest blog post by Heather Gargo, Founder of Denver Dweller, that featured Back-to-School Denver Sales for Clothing & Shoes.

Today we are featuring special back-to-school events taking place in and around Denver this summer!

Back-to-School at Town Center at Aurora

Town Center at Aurora is hosting a special back-to-school event with a variety of hands on activities that will help you get ready for back to school!

Activities include: Notebook design, flower creations, friendship bracelets for you and a friend (or teacher), and all members will receive a goody bag when they check in at guest services.

There will also be an Aurora Public School event going on for APS students during the same time as the event so expect additional traffic and activities throughout the mall. Saturday, August 6th, 2016, from 10am to 12pm. Town Center at Aurora is located at 14200 E Alameda Ave, Aurora, CO 80012.

Sharkey’s Back to School Bash

Visit the Downtown Aquarium for their Sharkey’s Back to School Bash! the bash will feature a $2.99 Kid’s Meal (with adult entree purchase), arts & crafts, fun games & activities, raffle & prizes, animal appearances, and a “Mystic Mermaid Show”. Tuesday, August 9th, 2016 from 5pm to 7pm. Downtown Aquarium is located at 700 Water St, Denver, CO 80211.

Back2School 5K Family Run/Walk

The Crowley Foundation is hosting a Back2School 5K Family Run/Walk with the goal of raising funds for their scholarships, college preparatory and “boys2MEN” programs.

To date they have awarded $47,000 in scholarships, escorted 350 students to 7 in- state college campuses and 18 students to 2 out-of-state campuses, worked with over 500 young men in their signature “boys2MEN” programs, and have had over 400 students participate in the Practice ACT/SAT Test Workshop.

Their goal this year is to continue providing these valuable and rewarding college preparatory programs at no cost to students and inspiring more young men to take their place in society as leaders. Back-to-School Princess Ball and Concert

Join Wands and Wishes Occasions for a back-to-school princess ball and concert at Baldoria on the Water in Lakewood.

Event highlights include: pastries, refreshments, a scripted show that will include ten of their princesses and their beautiful songs. Singing along is always encouraged and a photo opportunity with all ten princesses will be include to end the night!

Attending Princesses include: Cinderella, Rapunzel, the Snow Queen and Snow Princess, Beauty Princess, Lily Pad Princess, Little Mermaid, and Sleeping Beauty. You may spot their Tinker Fairy and Peter Pan running around as well.

The Fairy Godmother will be selling princess dresses at the door, but you can also purchase one in advance to be hand delivered by the princess of your choice.

Just Between Friends of Denver’s Back-to-School Event

Just Between Friends of Denver is hosting a back-to-school event where you can find 80,000 children’s and maternity items including clothing, toys, books, games, baby equipment, bikes, shoes and more, all at 50-90% below retail price! Admission is $2–$4 (date dependent).

Village at the Peaks’ Back-to-School Event

Village at the Peaks and the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley, are hosting a back-to-school event with tons of fun for the whole family!

Event highlights include: Human Foosball Tournament benefitting SVVSD High School Clubs, train rides, face painting, interactive chalk art including “learn from the artist”, and more. Rocky Mountain PBS KIDS Fun Fest

Join Rocky Mountain PBS KIDS for the biggest free block party of the year: Fun Fest!  Now in its 20th year, Rocky Mountain PBS KIDS Fun Fest draws thousands of kids and families to the street, to the parking lot and to the Denver studios for a magical day of free family fun!

KIDS Fun Fest will include: Interacting with PBS KIDS characters Clifford the Big Red Dog, Daniel Tiger, Curious George and Princess Presto, food trucks, live stage performances, booth activities like cup stacking, jump rope, tennis, dance, arts and crafts, bounce houses and much more.
