Elitch Gardens is hosting a Pokémon GO Lure-A-Thon, where you can put your skills to the test for the ultimate Pokémon Go event! They’ll have 10+ lure modules activated during the day. 2. Brick Fest Live LEGO® Fan Experience
Brick Fest Live LEGO® Fan Experience will be making a Denver stop this weekend, August 13–14, 2016! The Brick Fest Live LEGO® Fan Experience will take place at the Denver Mart and will feature over one million(!) LEGO® bricks on display and ready for play. 3. Jackalope Art & Craft Fair
The Jackalope Art & Craft Fair is hosting its summer Denver area fair, bringing 150+ vendors to the Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival in Anderson Park for a weekend of art, shopping, and fun on August 12th & 13th, 2016!
The fair will bring the local community a taste of DIY, with crafting workshops attracting the craft fair connoisseur and everyday shopper alike creating a weekend destination for shoppers near and far.
With an emphasis on the opportunity for the community to meet the makers behind their quality products, shoppers can expect to find trendsetting indie goods from original fashion and jewelry design, ceramics and paper goods, innovative home decor and housewares, art and photography, and much more.
4. Cherry Creek North Food & Wine
The 8th Annual Cherry Creek North Food & Wine event celebrates the diverse and sophisticated tastes of Cherry Creek North dining paired with wine, beer, spirits, live music and more. The event, which sells out annually, takes place on Saturday, August 13th, 2016 from 6pm to 9pm on Fillmore Plaza in Cherry Creek North.
The event will feature 24 restaurants that will represent the best of Cherry Creek North dining, including four participants that are new to the district this year. The restaurants, all located in Cherry Creek North and renowned for their service, culinary options and quality, will compete for the titles of Best of Show, Best Dessert and People’s Choice.
General admission tickets are $60, and VIP early entry tickets are $80.

6. The Science Lounge: Go for Gold at Denver Museum of Nature & Science
The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is hosting a special event in honor of the Rio 2016 Olympics on Thursday, August 18th, 2016 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
The Science Lounge: Go for Gold will feature performances by Samba Colorado and an opportunity for you to try to medal at this Geek Cup Olympic Challenge! It’s an Amazonian field day, complete with carnival competitions, jungle animal races, and all the jubilee of a samba dance party. Go head-to-head with science geeks to prove you’ve got the guts to take the gold.

7. Those Funken Dronez
Experience a revolutionary new way of live FPV Drone Racing with Those Funken Dronez, taking place on Thursday, August 18th, 2016 at Glitter Dome Event Center!

8. FARMCAD: Local Food, Art and Craft Market
Shop for affordable, original art and handmade goods. Enjoy fresh eats from a variety of food trucks and vendors. Plus, participate in a variety of activities, such as yoga, clay sculpture for kids, henna tattoos, face painting, caricatures, and poster making.
The event will also feature a live mural painting event by RMCAD-alumnus Daniel Chavez and the opening reception of ROAM, a giant, neon sculpture. The piece is by artist Jon Geiger and will be installed on the roof of a RMCAD building as part of a partnership with Black Cube Nomadic Contemporary Art Museum.
9. Dining Al Fresco on Larimer Square
Join the award-winning Chefs and restaurants of Larimer Square as they extend their dining rooms into the street for a one-of-a-kind dining experience on Saturday, August 20th, 2016 with Dining Al Fresco on Larimer Square!

10. High Plains Comedy Festival
The High Plains Comedy Festival is a three-day festival in Denver, from August 25th through August 27th, 2016, that features the world’s best comedy performers!
The festival will take place both in the historic South Broadway district and in the culminating show of the 2016 festival: Garfunkel & Oates at Paramount Theatre with special guests Kyle Kinane and Cameron Esposito.
