Speciality Dinners

  • Del Frisco’s Grille have launched a fun initiative, one that will (hopefully) lend some levity to this year’s highly charged election. To make sure everyone’s vote is heard, the team put together special burgers in honor of the presidential candidates. You can make your vote really count this year, with Denver’s favorite hand-held eats: the burger.Come in this month and cast your vote by either ordering “The Donald”, an (of course) well done prime beef patty with aged cheddar cheese, heirloom tomato and Bibb lettuce on a gold leaf bun, served with a side of teeny, tiny little pickles (wink, wink) or “The Hillary”. What’s on The Hillary? That’s classified information – Grille guests can email “Hillary burger?” to [email protected] (seriously – try it!) to receive burger details. But, we have it on good authority that her favorite meat is lamb, a Grille specialty….Both burgers are served with proud patriotic flags on top, and the Hillary arrived swathed in “classified” paper so that state secrets aren’t leaked. Might as well enjoy a couple classic American burgers before moving to Canada. Del Frisco’s Grille is located at 100 St Paul St.
  • Join Coohills for the rare opportunity to raise a glass with the “Godfather of Zinfandel,” Joel Peterson of Ravenswood Vineyards, on Monday, July 18th, 2016 at 6:30pm! The winemaker will discuss the evolution of Zinfandel, as well as California viticulture in general, as guests enjoy single-vineyard wines paired with a creatively conceived menu of European-inspired dishes from chef Tom Coohill – dishes such as house-smoked duck sausage and foie gras soup, grilled swordfish with charred tomatoes and sage-flecked white beans, and stuffed guinea fowl with wild strawberries.

Cost for six courses and six wine pairings is $95 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Reservations are strongly recommended for this popular evening, which will begin with cocktails at 6:30 ppm and dinner at 7pm. Call (303) 623-5700 to make a reservation.

  • Crooked Stave and Root Down are teaming up for a beer dinner next Tuesday, July 19th, 2016 at 7pm. Together, the Root Down culinary team and Chad Yakobsen have dreamed up a four-course dinner complemented by barrel-aged pairings from Crooked Stave. The dinner will take place at Root Down, located at 1600 W 33rd Ave. Tickets are $75 per person, seating is limited, and reservations can be made by calling (303) 993-4200.
  • The Palm is offering a three-course dinner for two which includes two glasses of Palm select wine or two domestic beers for $59 per person from July 17-24. The dinner includes a choice of salads or lobster bisque to start; choice of entrée including an 18 oz. Prime New York Strip, Butter-Poached Nova Scotia Lobster-Topped 9 oz. Filet Mignon, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes or Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon Fillet; and choice of dessert. The Palm is located at 1672 Lawrence St. Reservations can be made by calling: (303) 825-7256.
