Psst… Voicebox Launching in Denver this September 2016

Voicebox Launching in Denver Summer 2016 | The Denver Ear

Voicebox, a Portland, Oregon-based company offering private-suite karaoke, is  expanding nationally and will open its first out-of-state location in Denver this September in the RiNo Arts District.

Voicebox is not your typical karaoke experience—instead, it’s a welcoming space where guests have the ease of reserving their own private party suite. Founder Scott Simon launched Voicebox with the goal of fostering a longstanding human tradition—personal connection through music. In this case, through an inviting take on box karaoke with a fun and engaging way to celebrate, let loose, and rock out with friends, family, and coworkers.

Simon launched Voicebox in 2008 after living in Asia and experiencing first-hand the personal connection and cultural impact karaoke fostered.

“Voicebox is about discovery and letting your guard down,” says Simon. “It’s not your typical karaoke experience—instead, by providing guests with their own private party suite, we make it about the group experience, not the performer. It’s a custom-designed party reactor and we’re incredibly excited to bring it to the Denver community. The RiNo neighborhood immediately resonated with us; it has a vibrancy that parallels our original locations in Portland.”

The 4,500 square foot singalong mecca will open in the bustling RiNo neighborhood at 2601 Walnut Street with 10 private suites, a lively central bar area, and fun, on-the-go food and drink.

“We’ve known a lot of people to say that karaoke isn’t their thing,” explains Simon. “At Voicebox, karaoke is a bridge to authentic connectivity, where every visit has the potential for joy, energy, storytelling, and life-changing experience. It’s for people who love it, people who have never tried it, people who may be intimidated by the prospect of singing out loud—really, it’s karaoke for everyone.”

Through vbsongs.com, a proprietary technology developed by Voicebox CTO Carter Thaxton, guests can make a playlist and “favorite”  songs in advance of their suite reservation. When guests arrive, that list will automatically populate in their suite, where they can control lights and song selection directly from a smartphone. There are no barriers between delight and discovery— just an easy-to-use interface so guests can focus on having fun and making memories.

Chef Jensen Cummings of Fortune Cookie Concepts will build the food and beverage programs, and as a Certified Cicerone, will round out the extensive beer lineup. Food offerings will be grab-able and conducive to conversation: think skewers, dips, and sandwiches, with great catering options for any kind of celebration, from your 10-year-old’s birthday party, a 25th wedding anniversary, to an unforgettable office gathering.

Voicebox has on and off-peak rates that accommodate small groups and large parties. Visitors can request to “book their box” through the Voicebox online platform.

Psst… Check out The Denver Ear’s Facebook Page from Saturday, September 10th through Monday, September 12th, 2016 and find out how you can win a free two hour private suite for up to 25 people!

Voicebox RiNo is slated to open end of this month,  you can get to know the brand by following them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Hello. I am excited about voicebox coming here to Denver. I live in the Rino neighborhood and have lots of friends for a reservation. However I was disappointed that you did not mention regarding dining that you have vegan options. Vegan and veggitarian is NOT the same thing. Veggitarian do dairy vegans don’t. I’m hoping hoping hoping to hear back from you that you will include in your description that you have vegan options as me and all my friends are vegan and the group will be med to large. Thx in advance. Oh another thing can we get an exact date as to when you going to finally open up here?
