Adventure Ridge at Vail Mountain is snow park the size of a football stadium and offers family-friendly activities such as the Forest Flyer™ Mountain Coaster, an alpine coaster that winds its way 3,400 feet down the mountain, a tubing hill, ski-biking, kids’ snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and the Nature Discovery Center, the region’s highest altitude nature center with fun exhibits that reveal the wonders of Vail’s wilderness.

Colorado Adventure Park is a locally owned and operated tubing hill park, located just outside of Winter Park Resort. Colorado Adventure Park offers Single Tubing, Double Tubing and and Snow Scoots. The park features a variety of terrain from slow and easy to fast and wild to satisfy every craving for ages 3 and up.

Critterland, located at Copper Mountain, is a winter theme park that is geared towards young children.

Critterland is a safe and fenced area where young children can enjoy rides such as the Ducktopus Tubing Carousel, where even the young kids get to enjoy the thrills of tubing, the Bearilla Snow Den, a play area that features a fun tunnel to crawl through and a play structure and more tubing and play structures to enjoy, such as the Critter Crooked House, and the Squeal Hill.

The Evergreen Lake House, part of the Evergreen Park & Recreation District, operates the world’s largest Zamboni-groomed outdoor ice rink, an 8.5-acre stretch of ice with 11 pond hockey rinks and a huge public skating rink.

Frisco Adventure Park features multi-lane tubing hill, a beginner ski & ride hill, sleigh rides, and “Tumble Bubbles”, where kids and adults alike can tumble, bounce and smash other tumblers in giant (9ft) plastic human hamster balls, while rolling and sliding on the snow at the base of the tubing hill.

Krabloonik

Krabloonik offers Dog Sled Rides through the Snowmass backcountry for over an hour. Sleds are pulled by 8-10 Alaskan Husky sled dogs and are guided by an experienced musher. Krabloonik’s dogs are born and bred to run and they love the thrill of the run.

YMCA of the Rockies, located in Estes Park, offers winter activities such as archery, ice skating, hiking, winter horseback riding, campfires, and more. During the first week of March, YMCA of the Rockies is hosts its annual Family Winter Mountaineering and Backcountry Weekend. The weekend includes activities such as Kid-lead hikes, fun snow activities, backcountry first aid, mountaineering skills., workshops and classes, and more.
